  • Solar Thermal

Energy Efficiency Solutions proudly distribute two of the worlds leading brands of solar hot water heaters, 'Conergy' and 'Chromagen' Hot water Systems.

  • Solar is almost always the right choice. Whether for new buildings, renovations or redevelopments. We have the right systems specially tailored to supply hot water for all requirements, from houses to industrial applications. A solar hot water system from EES can provide all your hot water requirements, with up to 90% coming from the sun (depending on location). In NSW, for example, Solar water heaters supply 70 to 85 percent of a customer's annual hot water needs with the remainder being produced by either gas or electric boosting. If you're not using the sun to heat the hot water in your home, not only are you wasting your money, you're also contributing to global warming. Old technology 'conventional' water heaters in many cases are one of the biggest energy users in the home and can contribute up to 7 tonnes of greenhouse gas annually.

On a per capita basis, Australians are the biggest greenhouse polluters on the planet, but in recent years changes to building regulations coupled with Government rebates are encouraging greater use of the sun's free energy. People who install new solar systems, or convert their existing tanks to solar, are not only saving hundreds of dollars in energy costs, they are also cutting their greenhouse emissions by 3 to 5 tonnes a year

The old myths that you run short of hot water when the sun doesn't shine or that it takes too long to install a solar system are just that, myths. While most of the energy comes free from the sun, electric or gas booster units automatically cut in if the weather turns bad, so there's always plenty of hot water and a solar system can generally be installed in a matter of hours.

    • Conergy

Conergy is one of the world's leading manufacturers of solar hot water systems. Offering state of the art technology and world class design. Conergy offer either a Thermosiphon or the neat and unobtrusive Split System. Conergy systems are built to withstand the harshest conditions and can be custom built to suit any requirements. From a small family to large commercial operations, Conergy systems represent new levels of efficient cost saving and reliable hot water, all year round. Made from the highest quality materials and complying with rigorous international standards, Conergy systems assure exceptional performance and a longer operating life than conventional hot water systems

    • Chromagen

Chromagen have been manufacturing solar Hot water systems from as far back as 1962 and boasts over a million happy customers worldwide. Chromagen's engineers have developed state of the art systems to soak up as much free solar energy as possible in countries where sunshine isn't so plentiful, like Europe and North America. And now Australians can take advantage of this superior technology. A key factor is the all copper design of the solar panels. Not only is copper the best conductor of heat, it also goes the distance so far as longevity is concerned. So EES customers not only save most in the long run, they also get the highest government rebates.

  • Highest quality, Highest Performance and widest application

The range of Chromagen and Conergy Solar Water heaters available from Energy Efficiency Solutions cater for your needs whatever the climate zone or application. We have closed systems for high frost prone areas and open systems for the more moderate areas in both Split or Thermosiphon systems.

Some people prefer to heat only the water that they want, when they want to use it. Chromagen's Eternity range of Instantaneous Gas Heaters are ideal. Small, neat and unobtrusive, they can be installed on any outside wall and deliver you piping hot water at your command. For the user needing only relatively small volumes of hot water the Eternity T20 from EES will deliver 20litres per minute of hot water, whereas those requiring greater quantities to suit the requirements of a larger family Chromagen's Eternity T26 will satisfy those needs and yet have no wasted energy.

The range of Hot water Heaters from Energy Efficiency Solutions are so efficient that they attract the highest government incentives. These Government incentives are designed to encourage Australians to utilize our abundant solar energy resource wherever possible. The combination of rebates from our State Government as well as the Federal Government's Renewable Energy Certificates scheme greatly reduce the capital cost of installing a new Hot water system and make a system from Energy Efficiency Solutions an economical and sustainable choice.

    • What are Renewable Energy Certificates?

Renewable Energy Certificates (REC's) are a form of 'currency' introduced by the Federal Government that can be earned when you install renewable energy equipment.

      Some renewable energy sources that can generate REC's are;

      • Solar Hot Water
      • Photovoltaics (grid connect)
      • Photovoltaics (stand-alone power supply systems)
      • Wind
      • Hydro

One REC represents one megawatt hour (or 1000 kilowatt hours) of electricity generated from renewable energy.

What are the benefits of REC's?

When you install renewable energy equipment such as a Solar hot water system you may be able to earn some money from REC's.

Various companies or government bodies may be interested in buying your RECs or buying your right to create them. Some purchasers may offer cash for your RECs while others may offer discounts on products.

Just as importantly, they are a means whereby you the end user can determine the efficiency of a system from Energy Efficiency Solutions as compared to other similar systems available from our competitors. The higher number of REC's awarded (by the Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator) to a particular system, the more efficient it is. Thus the decision as to which company to purchase from, and which brand and system best suits your application is more informed, as the guesswork and advertising hype has been removed.
